Mary Lou Sanelli

Mary Lou Sanelli is a master teacher of contemporary jazz, originally trained at Broadway Dance Center. After owning her own dance studio and directing her own dance company
for nineteen years, she then taught classes in Seattle at the University of Washington, Spectrum Dance, Dance Underground, Velocity Dance, and other studios. She now teaches
master classes and workshops throughout the world, just returning from a teaching tour of Polynesia: including Hawaii, Tahiti, & Moorea. She is the author of fourteen titles of nonfiction,
a novel about a dance studio called The Star Struck, and a children's title about dance, Bella Likes To Try. Her newest, In So Many Words, has been nominated for a 2025 Washington State Book Award.
