Serene Wong was born in Newport Beach, CA and began her early ballet education at Huntington Academy of Dance in Southern California, where she completed Cecchetti USA examinations through Grade 5. She received her pre-professional training in classical ballet, modern, jazz, flamenco, and character styles at International Ballet Academy in Bellevue, WA, before attending the Graduate Program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater in 2020. During these years, she received additional training from Houston Ballet Academy, American Ballet Theatre School, the School of Philadelphia Ballet, and Oklahoma City Ballet School. In 2022, Serene returned to Seattle to join Spectrum Dance Theater under the direction of Donald Byrd. Alongside the performance season, she teaches ballet and modern in the greater Seattle area and has guest performed with International Ballet Theater, Chamber Dance Company, and Hot Springs Children’s Dance Theater.
