Summer Schools

Island Dance Studio, located at Ballet Victoria Centre, is pleased to announce an exciting summer of dance.

Children's Program July 26-August 6, 2010

Ages 8 - 13

IDS welcomes both new and returning students to our July Summer Dance Program.

This 2 week Summer School offers a daily ballet class in addition to experiencing other dance forms such as Character Dance, Jazz and Creative Movement Classes. In addition, students will have the opportunity to explore their creativity through a variety of art forms, such as painting, drawing, and drama.

 

Summer Dance Intensive 2010

July 5-21, 2010

For serious dancers, ages 13 and up

Island Dance Studio welcomes students to an International Summer Program for serious dance students. Faculty includes internationally recognized Canadian teachers.

Prospective students should be at a grade 6/Intermediate or higher level of Intensive training and be age 13 or older.

This program can serve as an audition for the Bridge Program with IDS and Ballet Victoria.

For students from outside the Victoria area, IDS can arrange carefully selected, friendly, host families.
